The Old-School Sci-Fi Typography
Each one is crafted as a futuristic design. Even though each one has "star" in it, they manage to keep their identity autonomous. And yes, they did love their yellow but at least they actually crafted a new font. These logos are decades years old they're still being used today.

The New-School Sci-Fi Typography
It's somewhat ironic. Here we have some of the most groundbreaking shows ever produced (at least in terms of production value) and they're using off the shelf fonts like Impact and Arial. Again, color remains a constant between properties but now the go-to color is silver. If their are any graphic designers out there please help out these nascent franchises get some new design.

Teaser Poster
This is an excellent teaser poster for Christopher Nolan's latest. The biggest draws to the film are going to be Nolan and its amazing cast. Though we know next to nothing about the plot, the "From the Director of The Dark Knight" line at the end of the poster will tap a lot of interest. But what is really striking about the poster is the way it beautiful utilizes use of the iconic urban planning grid plan design of Manhattan.

One Sheet #1
Warner Bros. is definitely going to see if lightening can strike twice for Christopher Nolan. The poster design by IGNITION is going to take the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" approach by visually referencing The Dark Knight wherever they can. How can you blame them? The movie is the 5th grossing film of all-time with over 1 billion dollars in ticket sales. Still, I feel like it's a bit of a cop-out especially since The Dark Knight poster was done by another agency, Crew Creative Advertising.

Proving that beautiful Sci-Fi design can be found in the most unusual places. Here's Alien:Sun Essence, a new fragrance by fashion designer Thierry Mugler. The design of the bottle is based on a sapphire gem. This would look great on any design conscious Sci-Fi show.
